The biggest winner today is the precious metal against the greenback compared to other major currencies. The Gold had gains of 0.58 per cent as investors were protecting their wealth from European crisis. The next winner against the US dollar was the Australian dollar with returns at 0.43 per cent. The AUDUSD found support at 1.0158 earlier today and bounced up to 1.0242. The Japanese Yen was gaining ground as well today against the greenback enjoying positive returns up to 0.33 per cent. The Loonie and the British pound had gains of 0.20 per cent and 0.06 per cent respectively as stronger Housing data for Canada and better than expected Manufacturing for UK raised the currencies against the US dollar.
Finally, the common currency and the Swiss franc were almost totally correlated for one more trading day with negative returns approximately the same at 0.22 per cent.
