Equity indexes are trading in different directions currently as traders follow quarterly reports while Wall Street finished mixed on Friday. Nvidia shares slid 0.34% underperforming market after Nvidia CEO Huang met Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao on Thursday, Microsoft shares slipped 0.32% on Friday despite Bank of America raising its price target on Microsoft shares to $585.00 from $515.00 while maintaining a “Buy” rating ahead of the company’s fourth-quarter fiscal 2025 results scheduled for July 30.

The Dollar weakening continues presently. The live dollar index data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, slid 0.17% on Friday.
EUR/USD reversed its sliding while GBP/USD ended little changed on Friday as federal statistics agency Destatis reported German producer prices resumed growing at 0.1% over month in June. Both Pound and euro are higher against the dollar currently. AUD/USD joined USD/JPY’s slowed climbing on Friday with both the yen and Australian dollar higher against the Greenback currently.

US stock indexes futures are up currently after Wall Street ended mixed on Friday. The three main stock benchmarks recorded daily returns in the range from -0.35% to 0.05% while preliminary results of a University of Michigan survey showed that consumer sentiment rose to the highest value in five months in July.
European stock futures are mixed today after closing marginally lower on Friday amid reports that president Trump is pushing for a minimum tariff of 15-20 per cent on European Union products in any deal with the bloc. Asian stock indexes futures are mixed currently with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index leading gains Beijing kept interest rates unchanged as widely expected.

Brent is edging lower currently. Prices ended lower on Friday as the European Union reached an agreement on an 18th sanctions package against Russia over its war in Ukraine, which includes import ban on any petroleum products made from Russian crude, though the ban will not apply to imports from Norway, Britain, the US, Canada and Switzerland. US West Texas Intermediate WTI futures slid 0.3% and are lower currently. Brent slipped 0.3% to $69.28 a barrel on Friday.
